MODEL ANSWER>>>

The way in which greenhouse gases trap the solar energy in the earth’s atmosphere is portrayed in the given diagram.

Overall, it is clear that human activities are held responsible for holding back certain amount of heat energy from the sun from radiating back to the space.

As shown in the diagram, irrational felling of trees that absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere is seen as one of the crucial factors behind this phenomenon. This increases the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

The proportion of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere also increases when large amount of toxic fumes are emitted by industries and vehicles. This sort of addition of greenhouse gases is responsible for holding back a specific proportion of heat energy from the Sun in the earth’s atmosphere.

However, a major proportion of the heat energy from the sun is radiated back to the space and some energy is reflected off atmosphere.
