FORMAL LETTER: JOB AT THE SCHOOL LIBRARY

Mar 12, 2019 / General / 1:25 am

You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
The school library is seeking applicants for a job over summer break. Write a letter to the library’s manager, in your letter include:
– A brief introduction of yourself
– Your experience and relevant skills
– Why you want the job
Write at least 150 words.
You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear Sir or Madam,
Dear Madame,
I am a second year student and my major is Biology. I am writing this letter to express my interest in the open job position at the school library.
I saw the advertisement posted on the job board in the career centre. While I was in my high school, I worked as a volunteer at the local library for almost two years, which was also a part of my school management. I helped other librarians with checking out books, placing the returned books to the shelves, and answering to the queries over the telephone.
I noticed that the position is part time, which would help me because I can manage it without a break in my studies. Another advantage I see is that I can be more financially independent, and this can ease the pressure on my parents. I assure you that I can assume the post at your convenience.
I look forward to hearing from you
Yours sincerely,
