MODEL ANSWER:

Dear Sir,

I am writing to you to inquire about the possibility of taking a month off work from the software developing section, which I have been working with you for the past 3 years.

I enrolled for a year diploma course in 3-D printing design research last year and the final exam for the same is announced and it is scheduled next month. In order to complete it successfully, I really need at least a month’s leave for both my final preparation and for the successful appearance for the exam.

On my return, I would endeavor to come into the office earlier than usual and work on Sundays in order to catch up on anything I had missed. I also have a plan to work an extra hour on Fridays for a month.

I can understand my absence could annoy you, but I think, our company would benefit from my research. On the successful completion of my course on 3-D printing design, I can help our company in developing a new software in 3-D printing, and I am sure my expertise will really help the company.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours sincerely,

Dicruze.
