FORMAL LETTER: TO NEWSPAPER ABOUT NOT RECOMMENDING A RESTAURANT

Sep 04, 2019 / General / 2:27 am

You should spend around 20 minutes on this task.
Write a letter to the newspaper editor about an experience you had at a restaurant.
The experience can be good or bad. Describe your experience in detail and state whether or not you recommend others to visit the restaurant.
You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear Sir or Madam,

Write at least 150 words.

MODEL ANSWER:

Dear Sir,

I am writing this to share a dining experience I had at a local restaurant called “The Spice Village,” which was the worst dining experience I have ever had.

Last Wednesday, around 2.30 pm, I visited the restaurant as I was unable to have my lunch at my office. It took around 20 minutes for the service boy noticed me and after seating, I had to wait another 10 minutes for my drink order to be taking.

The food which was served at the end of a long wait turned out to be poorly cooked and seasoned. I expressed my extreme dissatisfaction to the service boy and he instructed me to complain to the manager. The conversation which I had with the manager was not pleasing and he asked me to drop my suggestions in the suggestion box.

It would be appreciated if you could expose this matter to the public, so that such incidents can be prevented further.

Yours faithfully
Sandra.
