MODEL ANSWER>>>

Of late, information technology has grown to the next level, and work from home has become increasingly popular among employees. As this new trend has tangible merits to both employees and employers, it does have demerits which cannot be completely neglected.

The predominant merit of this provision is that it gives employees more flexibility. To be precise, unlike an office set up, when a person works from home, he has the opportunity to complete his work in a more relaxed time-frame and in an ideal atmosphere. In other words, the targets given by the employer can be comfortably met with less stress at home when compared to an office. The employer, on the other hand can get the maximum output from his worker at a lower remuneration scale. More duration of work can be offered to employees with added incentives, as a considerable proportion of time is saved on travelling to and from the workplace.

Conversely, one of the worst issues of work from home can be perceived as lax discipline at work. To be clearer, postponement of work is seen very often when a person works from his home, and this ultimately adds immense work stress. The second challenge is the imperfection in teamwork. Most works need good co-ordination and ideal co-operation among the employees under a visible supervision. It cannot be effectively practised in a home set-up, and this naturally affects the productivity.

In conclusion, it is clear that as the trend benefits both the employers and employees; they have to face equally strong challenges on the other side.
