IELTS Writing Test – General Training
Writing task 1 (a letter)
A restaurant in your local area has placed many tables and chairs on the pavement outside, causing inconvenience to people using the street.
Write a letter to the restaurant manager. In your letter:
– explain what problems this situation has caused
– suggest what the restaurant should do instead
– say what action you will take if the problem is not resolved.
Write at least 150 words. You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Writing task 2 (an essay)
Many people believe that learning a foreign language is difficult.
What are the reasons for this? What do you think is best way to learn a foreign language?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
