Speaking test

Part 1 (Interview)

– Do you work or study?
– Can you describe the city where you live?
– What do you like the most about your city?
– Is your city a good place for young people to live? Why or why not?
– Are there any famous streets or landmarks in your city?
– What improvements would you like to see in your city?
– Do you enjoy travelling to other cities or countries? Why?
– Do you think public transport in your city is good?

Part 2 (Cue Card)

Describe an unusual building you have seen. You should say:

– where the building is
– what it looks like
– what it is used for

and explain why you found it unusual.

Part 3 (Discussion)

– Why do people like to visit historical places?
– What role do historical buildings play in a city’s culture?
– Do you think it is more important to preserve old houses or build new ones?
– How has travel changed the way people learn about history?
– What can governments do to protect historical sites?
– Do you think people prefer modern houses or traditional ones? Why?
