Speaking test
Part 1 (Interview)
– Do you work or are you a student?
– What would you like to change about your work or study environment?
– Do you enjoy giving gifts to others?
– Do you usually give expensive gifts? Why or why not?
– Have you ever helped someone carry something heavy?
– How do you usually carry heavy items?
– Do you prefer to receive practical gifts or sentimental ones?
– What kind of gifts do people typically give in your culture?
Part 2 (Cue Card)
Describe a time when your vehicle broke down. You should say:
– where you were going
– who you were with
– how long it took to fix the vehicle
and explain how you felt about the experience.
Part 3 (Discussion)
– In your country, do most people prefer public transport or private vehicles? Why?
– What are some disadvantages of using private vehicles in busy cities?
– How can road safety for pedestrians be improved in urban areas?
– Do you think public buses should be given priority on the roads? Why or why not?
– What role does public transport play in reducing traffic congestion?
