MODEL ANSWER:

Arguments exist on the key factor which determines educational success. On the one side, the role is attributed to the potentials of a good teacher, and on the other side, it is the learner’s attitude. Both the arguments are topical in nature, and so a critical analysis is necessary before framing a logical conclusion.

Those who think that students’ attitude is vital in successful education believe in the active potentials of a student. They feel that if a student can actively participate in the learning process, no matter whether it is an institutional or online training, he can accomplish his goals at ease. In this case, even without the physical presence of a good teacher, a student can become successful. However, if he has a wrong attitude towards the process- for example, when he is more absorbed in some other activities- he might not embrace educational success.

Conversely, those who think good trainers are the real catalysts behind educational success project their invaluable experience and motivational skills. In the first place, they project the ability of such people to develop the learning skills in a student systematically with the help of the experiences they gained over the years. The second factor they highlight is their ability to enhance a student’s academic performance by assessing their performance (strengths and weaknesses). If a teacher fails to have such abilities, this may prove detrimental to not only to the students, but also to the institution he teaches for.

After analyzing both the views in detail, I have to admit that the attitude of students is a key factor in educational success. However, I think teachers play a greater role in this area.
