It is often believed by the many that the education system is the cornerstone of a nation’s progress. If analyzed critically, I think one cannot completely agree to this statement.
Firstly, one should understand the fact that education plays a very positive role in an individual’s career and ensures a better life for him. It should also be understood that such qualified professionals contribute their knowledge and expertise skills to their working field. When both an individual and his working environment is benefited greatly, this makes the nation’s GDP grow. In other words, in many of those countries which struggle to progress, it can be seen an ill-established educational system as one of the key challenges. Therefore, not many would criticize the key role of education in a nation’s development.
However, one should also look into the significant roles of health sector and basic infrastructural facilities like roads and bridges in the developmental process of a state. A successful country should have healthy citizens, both physically and mentally. Even though an individual is educated, he should have a sound body to accomplish his goals to the best. Similarly, if he is not mentally stable, he may get into unethical activities, which may result in the negative growth of a country. Another crucial factor is the basic infrastructure. For example, a country should have well-connected road, rail and air networks for its accelerated progress.
In conclusion, there is no doubt that the education system is considered as an imperative factor for the development of a nation. At the same time, one should also look into other cardinal areas like health and infrastructure, which can collectively shape a developed nation.
