In order to develop the sectors of sports and culture, sponsorship is seen given to professionals in this area. However, some think that this should be extended to amateur adults and children who are interested in these fields. I too agree to the notion.

To begin, sports and cultural activities help a country to uphold its status and pride among other nations, and every government allocates a specific amount of money to this sector. The best way which a nation can reflect the efforts which it has taken to upgrade this area is to sponsor professionals from these fields. For example, many governments are seen spending on boosting the existing facilities of professional athletes or sportspersons, and the results are mostly positive. The case is very similar in case of cultural enterprises such as music and drama.

However, many feel that better results are not yet uncovered. This is because they believe that there are talented children and young adults, who are not given an opportunity to express their hidden talents. The underlying causes of this are basically lack of finance and motivation. The search for a sponsorship in this case ends eventually at the doors of the respective governments. Though non-governmental organizations can sponsor, it would lack financial flexibility and geographical limitations. Therefore, it is clear that the responsibility of transforming these amateur performers to professional performers primarily lies with the government.

To conclude, bringing out the best from the fields of sports and culture can be done easily by a government when sponsorship is availed to those who excel in these areas. However, I think identifying and transforming young amateurs by means of sponsorship from these sectors can fetch better results.
