Data regarding the spending on books bought over the internet in the UK between 1997 and 2002 is depicted in the line graph, while the share of books bought divided by regions in the same province is shown in the pie chart.

In general, there was an increase in the expenditure on books related to internet in the UK over this period, whilst the habit of purchase is seen more among the English in the region.

As per the first chart, it is clear that the money spent on these books increased over the time period. In 1997, this was just over £10 million, which climbed to almost £23 million by 2000 at an average of 3-5 million per year. However, the pace of hike in the amount spent slowed down in the next couple of years to 1-2 million to reach just under £25 million by 2002.

Turning to the pie chart, it is clear that the major share of the books is bought by the English. This accounts for 81%, while in Wales; this is one-tenth of the total. The share of Scotland is 8%, whereas in Northern Ireland, this is just a per cent.
