The diagram illustrates major changes happened to the Laguna Beach in 1970 and 1990 when compared to 1950.

Overall, there were considerable transformations in the beach and the facilities it offered during this time frame.

In 1950, there were only few beach huts at the centre to accommodate visitors, and these were transformed to villas in 1970. By 1990, they were demolished and a luxury hotel with an attached pool came into existence.

Of the other  major changes which took place during this period, the first was the development of transportation and parking facilities. The small track which gave access to the beach at the North-east in 1950 was developed to a road in two decades. A caravan park facilitated the visitors in 1970, which was developed after clearing the woodlands. Later, in 1990, the area was modified into a car park. Two other changes in this period were the introduction of surf schools at the South and the making of landscaped gardens at the West of the hotel.
