MODEL ANSWER>>>

Dear Sir,

I am writing this letter to express my sincere apologies for providing timely evidence regarding my absence from one of the semester examinations held at the university.

My name is Manuel Martin, an Economics undergraduate student in your university. My student identification number is M 3462 and my case number is T4901534.

When I was returning to my accommodation after college, on 22 September, I was hit by a car. I was taken to the nearest hospital immediately. I could regain my consciousness only after two days, and I realized that I had missed my exam scheduled on 24 September. The doctors informed me that I had a serious head injury. Visitors were strictly restricted for a week further. Hence, I was unable to make contact with the university regarding my absence. As per the Albion University’s norms in such a case, I have included my medical certificates as evidence for my claim.

It would be greatly appreciated if the committee permits me to take the examination on another date, lest I fail the semester exam. Once again I express my sincere apologies for my late response.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours faithfully,

Martin
