You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.

You took an elderly member of your family, who was not able to walk properly, to a museum and he/she faced a few problems.

Write a letter to the manager of the museum. In your letter,

  • say why you visited the museum
  • describe the problems you faced
  • suggest what can be done to avoid those problems

Write at least 150 words.

MODEL ANSWER>>>

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this letter to share the experience which I had when I visited the museum under your supervision last week with my aunt.

It was from the newspaper my aunt read about the new arrival at the museum: the war-time attires of the French soldiers during the Second World War. Her father was a French soldier, who sacrificed his life for the country against his battle against the Germans. So she insisted me to take her to the museum, and that was the reason behind my visit.

While everything was well and good at your museum, my aunt, who is in her early 70’s, had some problems in moving around your museum on foot. I too struggled a lot to make her climb stairs at the main entrance as I could hardly find any ramps.

It would be appreciated if you could consider providing a wheelchair inside the museum and a ramp at the entrance that is not too steep, so that it helps the elderly and the disabled.

I expect you would consider my suggestion seriously.

Yours faithfully,

Donald
