It is common to see more and more countries and populations promote eco-friendly tourism these days owing to their increasing concerns for environment. I do think it hardly has any sort of negative effects.

One of the major benefits of eco-tourism is that it possesses minimum danger to the nature. To be precise, when people are more responsible to nature, by not littering non-biodegradable objects such as plastics and limiting the use of vehicles which emit toxic gases, they become closer to the nature. In this way, tourists can maintain the natural ambience of the eco system including the indigenous flora and fauna.

Another positive aspect of the popularity of eco-tourism is that it promotes an eco-friendly attitude among the tourists. To be clearer, the objective of eco-tourism is to reach environmentalism to more and more people and when it gains its popularity, it makes them love their own environment. For example, it makes them understand the importance of preserving natural resources like water, land and forests almost intact to their future generations. Hence, awareness towards this would be certainly beneficial for all the living species on the earth.

Eco-tourism not only promotes environmental protection, but also assimilates more revenue to the economy. For instance, this type of tourism encourages the production and sale of local products such as handicrafts and other locally made products from the nature.

To conclude, it is clear that eco-tourism is strengthening its popularity on a global scale and I think nurturing this sustainable way has positive effects not only at present, but also in the future.
