It is important for people to take risks, in both their professional lives and personal lives. Do the advantages of taking these risks outweigh the disadvantages?

It is a question of gravity whether  or not to take risks in a person’s professional or personal life. Even though many would hesitate to do that, I feel it fetches more advantages.

The two major advantages of taking risks in personal life is that it makes people self-reliant and confident. To be precise, each risk a person takes is a challenge in his life, and once he accomplishes his ultimate goal, he feels optimistic to take up more challenges in his life.  For instance, students who gain overseas degrees, leaving behind their comfort zones at their home country definitely feel that  they are far superior to their childhood friends who had not made it.

Similarly, when risks are taken in professional lives, many could embrace remarkable success, which they would not have even dreamt of.  To be clearer, only when a person is ready to take up challenging situations in his professional life, he can prosper. For example, many are seen receiving incentives and promotions when they accomplish tough targets in their career. There are also successful instances when people taking risks of changing their professions completely.

I admit that people who take these risks have to battle with different levels of stress and anxiety, even in their preliminary steps. However, once they overcome these struggles, they will be well-equipped to take up more serious challenges.

To conclude, though taking risks in both personal and professional lives can alter the comfort in a person’s life, landmarks can be achieved only when people take these.
