In order to acquire more knowledge and experience, there are people who involve themselves in activities like charitable events or dance groups, whereas others stay focused on their work or studies. I think both ways are dependable, however it works differently on different individuals.
On the one hand, when a person engages himself in activities similar to arts or in social services, the primary advantage I think he might acquire is a deep understanding about the society in which these actions take place. For example, when a student or an individual participates in charity activities in a specific social circle, it gives him a clear picture about the root causes of problems in that society. Opportunities to improve a person’s language, communication skills and personality are other major benefits of doing so. However, not all can actively involve in this as this depends on various factors like attitudes and mood of a person. External factors too play a crucial role in this type of participation.
On the other hand, of the major merits of concentrating only in a person’s work or studies, the most significant is that he can upgrade his skills, knowledge and experience. When a person spends more time at his work or studies, naturally he gets immersed in it, and can upgrade his knowledge periodically. This also gives him the required experience at his performance. However, this too depends on the personal interests. There are instances when students and employees lack necessary skills and experience even after a longer span of action. Here too, one can see external factors such as professional and emotional conflicts, which can pull back an individual from achieving their targets.
To conclude, it is clear that knowledge and experience can be procured by both the aforementioned ways. However, the level of acquisition depends on personal and other external factors.
