Some people say that now we can see films on our phones or tablets, and there is no need to go to the cinema. Others say that to be fully enjoyed, films need to be seen in a cinema. Discuss both these views and give your opinion.

Arguments vary when it comes to the topic: film viewing. When some belittle the significance of cinemas by highlighting cutting-edge technologies like phones and tablets, others recommend cinemas as the best places to view a film. If analysed critically, it seems that the second option has slight more weightage than the first.

On the one hand, the reason why the former group argues that cinemas would be less-occupied is because of the advanced technologies, which can assure privacy and convenience. To be clearer, if a person views a film on his tablet or smartphone, instead of going to a cinema, he can have fewer disturbances, and can decide when to watch and where to watch it.  He also can take serious breaks in between, and can resume the viewing at a time later. Apart from that, technology now allows people to have the virtual reality experience on some advanced gadgets, so that the film appears close to reality.

On the other hand, opponents of the former view insist watching films in cinemas, as it gives the viewers a very unique experience. When viewed on the big screen, with the finest audio-visual technologies, a movie can be best enjoyed, rather than straining eyes when viewed on smaller gadgets like tablets and smartphones. The ambience of a cinema is best suited for watching modern movies, which are made carefully by their makers, concentrating on every minute audio quality, which fits to the scene. On an OTT platform, these effects cannot be fully enjoyed, they believe.

After analysing both views in detail, although the modern technology can deliver film entertainment at the personal spaces of each individual in the most advanced form, I still feel the ambience a cinema gives is unique.
