Some people think that enjoying the present is more important than planning for the future for both countries and individuals.
To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is opined that living a memorable life at present is more significant than reserving it for the future. I agree that this can be true in case of certain individuals, however in case of countries; it should be just the opposite.
Firstly, some people think that every individual should enjoy his life in accordance with what he has at present. To be clearer, they feel that saving for the future should not be at the cost of living an enjoyable life at present. They point at the situations of retired people as ideal examples. Even if they have enough money and resources, they cannot enjoy their life at the fullest because of their age.
However, others feel that the life is uncertain, and it is very essential to have rational plans for the future. They point at the crises such as inflation, economic stagnation and job cuts, to name but a few. In such situations, an individual should have an appropriate vision for his family and himself to avoid any untoward situations rather that being a spendthrift who would find himself in trouble.
In case of the nations, it is hard to accord to the view that it should not give more focus to its future. This is because the challenges a nation are expected to face every day is highly vulnerable, such as recession, food shortage and natural calamities. To address these effectively, it should have a productive plan, which has to be implemented at least a year ago.
To conclude, it is clear that enjoying a life at present can be made practical only by certain individuals at present. For most nations, owing to an increased number of emerging challenges, this is nearly impossible.
