Dear Sir or Madam,

I am a resident of St. Peter’s street B, and I am writing to intimate you about a problem related to the collection of garbage from my locality.

Since last month, when the new system of garbage collection was introduced by the municipality, we found no garbage left out in the streets. However, the volunteers who were collecting garbage from the houses started to be irregular and the residents started to dispose the waste in the public bins in the streets.

From the time this has become common, streets became untidy and stinky. This has also made discomfort to those who walk on the streets in the mornings and evenings. We also observed the presence of houseflies in our houses.

Since it is understood that remuneration is the issue, it would be appreciated if you could provide the volunteers with a hike in their incentive, so that they would resume their work as they did before. The resident association is also thinking of providing them some financial assistance.
