The shopping trends of people keep on changing, but it is to be noted that they have been keeping branded products superior to other products. The preference to such products is also seen increasing, and I feel this is more advantageous to the customers.

One of the cardinal reasons why I feel the trend is positive is because of the provision of uniqueness these products offer to their customers. To be precise, branded products have something superior or exceptional when compared to other products in order to increase the satisfaction level of customers. For example, companies like ‘LG’ or ‘Samsung’ compete among themselves in offering their customers with specifications. Naturally, this would attract more number of genuine or permanent customers.

Two other major positive factors, which I think are more significant for a greater number of customers are the quality and durability of such products. It would enhance the quality of life of the people, increasing their comfort and convenience levels. Most branded products are sold with a token of assurance: ‘the warranty period’, which gives its customers a feeling of better satisfaction.

I have to admit the fact that not all customers go for buying branded items. This may be because of these products are more expensive than other products, both in the case of purchase and maintenance. Critics also point that an increasing popularity of branded items would affect the local businesses adversely, and there is some truth in this.

To conclude, it is clear that the popularity of branded products is more depended on their uniqueness and specifications like quality and durability. These make it more superior in the market despite some minor challenges, which can be resolved in near future.
