You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
You have eaten at a restaurant and it was such a terrible experience. Write a letter to the manager.
In your letter, you should say:
Who you are.
Explain what happened.
Ask for a refund.
Write at least 150 words.

MODEL ANSWER:

Dear Sir,

I would like to express my regret at having dined at your restaurant last week, which was one of the most terrible experiences I had faced in my life.

I have booked the table in advance because I had my colleagues from my firm as guests. Since the dinner was a treat for them for my promotion at work, I wanted to make it a memorable one. But once we entered the restaurant, we were informed that we would have to dine separately.

The second problem was that several menu items I ordered earlier were unavailable on the night, especially the vegetarian options. Three of my colleagues were strict vegetarians, and I felt really embarrassed.

The experience was entirely unacceptable, and I would like to request a refund of the amount paid. I would also suggest you not to promise your customers the services that you are unable to provide in order to avoid disappointing experiences.

Regards,

Alexandra
