Dear Sir or Madam,
The purpose of this letter is to bring your attention towards an error in your publication about my hometown.
Last week, when I went through your magazine, ‘The Asian Travelogue’, I found an exciting article about my hometown. However, while I was reading further, my eyes stuck on wrong information on the commencement of tourist season here. Instead of April, it starts on January and lasts for six months.
The main reason why I want you to notice this is because the place is visited by a lot of new international tourists every year. As your magazine is a popular one, and it reaches a lot of people across the globe, the error would affect the lives of a sizeable proportion of people in my town who heavily depend on tourism for their livelihood.
It would be highly appreciated if you could publish a correctional notice in your next publication, with a reference to the local tourism promotion council so that the prospective tourists should not get confused about when the season starts.
