It is observed that many who had a desire to take up their profession in sports fail to do so just because of either fear of failure or due to objection from parents. If a child dreams to become a professional sportsperson, support from his parents is quintessential, and I do think such desires should not be neglected.

The primary reason why I support the argument is because this field is now recognized globally as a profession like any other career options such as medicine, engineering or business. Today, those who have to become a professional sportsperson have to undergo vigorous training, which is given by expert trainers, and this training is not merely confined to sports, but also covers other areas which would make children more competitive and self-reliant. This in turn makes their success graph move on the higher side when they take up sports as a profession in future.

Another reason why I support the statement is because sports have now transformed to an area which a successful person can roll in a huge sum of money. To be precise, it is common to see added financial benefits which an established sportsman receives apart from his remuneration. This is often seen by means of sponsorships and other incentives like ‘man of the match’ awards.

There are also a number of successful sportspersons around us who have commercial value and they are often seen made as brand ambassadors of products and services. This would also persuade children to become a professional sportsman, and the goal cannot be easily accomplished without the support of their parents.

To conclude, I believe that the desire of a child to become a sport professional should be encouraged by any means, and indeed I think parents should support them in all possible ways.
