You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.

An old car is left on the street near your apartment block several weeks ago. You telephoned the local Council to get them take it away, but nothing has been done about it. The car is now causing a problem for residents.

Write a letter to the council, in your letter

  • Describe the car
  • Outline the problems it is causing
  • Tell the Council what you want them to do

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to bring your attention towards an unresolved problem in our locality.

I have been a residing in 498F Strand Foyle for the past five years. I noticed an unattended black Peugeot 308 on the left side of the immediate entrance to our apartment a couple of weeks ago. As a responsible, law abiding citizen, I alarmed the incident to the council on phone and requested to move the car from the street, to which no one responded yet.

As you are aware, the apartment members have assigned parking spaces in the lower ground. However, our visitors are permitted only to park temporarily on the street in front of our apartment, and this stretches only for about 100 metres. Those visitors who have disabled badges are now seen parking their cars away from the street.

It would be appreciated if you could take the car into your custody at the earliest. Before doing this, I suggest you to report the incident to the police, so that they can investigate into the matter in the proper channel.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours faithfully,

Kelly Gallahar
