It is common to see that the number of young people in some countries is swelling faster when compared to the older ones. This appears to be more advantageous, but one should not see the negative impacts it can cause.

The most prominent advantage is that it strengthens the economy of a country. To be precise, when there are more young people, the workforce is strong and the nation has enough manpower to carry out its economic activities. Some countries are even seen exporting this young and energetic manpower. Ultimately, one can understand that an increased young population reflects a brighter economy.

Apart from the aforementioned advantage, when the young population is more than the older, the work-efficiency would also become better. To be clearer, the young generation is swifter and faster than their older counterparts, and the performance of the firms they are employed would be superior. This is not only true in the physical talents, but also the intellectual talents.

Nonetheless, one should also see the darker side of this. The worst expected are socio-economic problems. When the population of the young exceeds a certain limit, it creates issues like unemployment. Governments have to meet the basic needs of this population, or else, they are most likely to involve in anti-social activities. Other minor problems such as inexperience can be mitigated easier.

To conclude, though there are some visible problems when the population of the young exceeds the old, its advantages appears to be more than its disadvantages.
