It is argued that the significance of traditional food is expected to fade and would be getting replaced by convenience food in future, which is gaining its grip in the modern food culture. I have no other way, but to agree to the view.

One of the fundamental reasons why I believe that traditional food preparation methods would get forgotten is because of the increasing popularity of convenience foods. To be precise, when compared to traditional foods and its preparation methods, these types of food have many popular features like instant edibility, easy portability, convenient packaging, to name but a few. Most significantly, these foods are better adapted to the modern lifestyle.

Another important reason is that it saves a considerable proportion of time. To be clearer, today, people have tight schedules, and they hardly can spend time preparing food in the traditional ways. For example, when a traditional meal is prepared in half an hour, the average duration a person should wait for having convenience food is just 5 minutes. This is highly beneficial for those who work and travel frequently.

The final point which I would put forward to support the view is the complexity of food preparation in the traditional manner. To explain it further, a person has to learn some basic food preparation skills to cook food in the traditional manner, and most of these skills are inherited from older generations. As the generation gap is getting wider, many of such skills were left neglected and some are not in practice.

To conclude, it is almost clear that the popularity of convenience food would overshadow the traditional foods in the near future, not just because of its benefits, but also because of the disadvantages of preparation methods of traditional foods.
