Jul 17, 2019 / General / 12:20 am

You should spend around 20 minutes on this task.
The local school library is seeking applicants for a job over summer break. Write a letter to the library’s manager, in your letter include:

– A brief introduction of yourself
– Your experience and relevant skills
– Why you want the job

You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear Sir or Madame,
Write at least 150 words.

MODEL ANSWER:

Dear Madame,

I am an eight semester Library Science student at the Central University. I am writing to express my interest in the open job position at the school library.

I saw the advertisement posted on the job board in the career center of the campus. While I was at my high school, I worked as a volunteer at my local library for almost a year. There I helped the chief librarian with sorting out the books in different sections. I also helped him in returning books to the shelves, and answering the telephones.

I noticed that the position is part time, which would be quite good enough to give me some experience and I can help myself financially relaxed during the semester. I am a person who is fully dedicated to doing a good job. I am available at your convenience and can be reached by either phone or by mail.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours Sincerely,
