MODEL ANSWER:

Recently many people are not able to take care of their health expenses and this is seen as global phenomenon. There are two main reasons why people fail to save money on health and solutions for this are practical in nature.

Firstly, the average salary of a person just fulfills the basic needs such as food, accommodation and transportation. For instance, a considerable proportion of the people fails to save enough money from their income after meeting their daily expenses. In addition, the unparalleled hike of living expenses leads many people sacrifice their health and strive to earn more money and this makes them more vulnerable to serious health problems, which they find it hard to avail good treatment with their available savings.

Secondly, the cost of some healthcare facilities is exorbitant and many average citizens would not be able to afford it. For example, major surgeries like bone marrow transplantation would cost millions and this would be a challenging situation even for the affluent. In addition, many hospitals provide specialized care, which includes ultra-modern screening with specialties such as occupational and rehabilitation therapies. When these services are provided, naturally they have to charge more from patients.

The aforementioned cases could be solved by measures such as flexible medical insurance policies and low cost healthcare facilities. This is effective provided that such insurance policies are affordable to the common man. The second suggestion should be supervised by the government. Above all, every person should have a personal financial reserve to take of his health.

To conclude, each and every person fails to save money for their health unless these problems are solved and I think the solutions mentioned are nearly practical.
