It is often seen as a controversy whether or not to limit the salary of a person, considering the fact that in some countries a few earn exorbitant remunerations. An action or inaction can have crucial impacts the current economic situation, and hence a detailed discussion is needed before framing a logical conclusion.

On the one side, critics point out the dire consequences of economic imbalance if sky is the limit for earning. To be precise, when there is no restriction imposed in this field, there would be an accumulation of wealth in the hands of few. Usually, when the money is concentrated at specific centres, it becomes immobile. For example, these people would purchase gold, precious stones and properties of high value. Thus the money get stagnated, and the society would be least benefited by their immense earnings.

On the other side, a higher salary for a particular job definitely reflects a strong economy. To be clearer, only when a country has good economic resources, it could create such opportunities for its people. In addition to this positive aspect, a higher salary would make the working population more productive. The economic needs of the people today are diverse, including investments in crucial sectors like health and education, and not just focused on the basic needs. This naturally makes them to strive more at work. At this juncture, it is more than a crime if any government sets a limit for the salary of its citizen.

After analysing both the views in detail, though an extremely high salary can create some problems in the society, I do feel it is unwise to restrict the financial expectations of an individual by limiting a sound salary scale.
