There are differences seen that the role of fathers and mothers in some countries, and the main reasons for this can be attributed to the culture and the socio-economic status of their citizens. Even though the future is uncertain, technology is expected to take over more parental roles in future.

One of the major reasons which is thought to be behind such differences in the way in which people bring up their children strictly based on their culture and traditions. To be precise, certain oriental countries have specific roles assigned to both fathers and mothers, and they have been following those from centuries. Here, mothers are primarily responsible for the child care. However, in western countries, there is equal responsibility for a father and a mother in bringing up a child.

The second tentative reason is the varying socio-economic status of the people. To be clearer, in this globalised world, both parents are working, and this gives almost the same responsibilities on fathers and mothers. However, in certain countries, women are restricted from working outside, and there they are solely responsible for child birth and upbringing.

When analysing the situations which are anticipated, it can be undoubtedly say that technology is predicted to take some serious responsibilities from both the parents. For example, now, surveillance cameras and microphones are used to supervise young children at their rooms. In future, children might have robotic companions, which can help them play and study.

To conclude, cultural and socio-economic differences appear to be the primary reason behind the diverse roles of fathers and mothers in certain countries, and in future, technology would have a major role in the child care system.
