Last month you had a holiday overseas where you stayed with some friends. They have just sent you some photos of your holiday.

Write a letter to your friends.

• thank them for the photos and the holiday

• invite them to come and stay with you

Dear Sonia and Monica,

It was really a surprise for me when I got your courier yesterday. Believe me, I’ve never expected that.

I remember those five days as one of the most cherished days in my life. The time we spent at the beaches, parks and at concerts was really colourful. The last day, on which we went shopping, was also really nice. But when I saw the pictures of those holidays, I became really awestruck. Thank you both.

You both know, I had taken a week off for my trip. Immediately when I arrived here, I joined my company, and I had to finish some pending assignments. I thought of writing to you twice or thrice, but I apologize, time constraints had not allowed me to do so.

Do you know? It’s festive season here in my place. We’ve a carnival which lasts for ten days, and it’s really good. If you both join me and stay with me during those days, we can have a lot of fun. I’m sending a detailed schedule of the fest as an attachment. Please go through.
