MODEL ANSWER:
The world has projected us only a few famous artists as fame, money and power keep miles away from many enthusiastic artists. This makes people think that it is irresponsible for them to persuade their children to pursue a career in art. I tend to believe the decision should echo the interest of the child and the situations they live.
The cardinal reason why parents accelerate their anxiousness when they hear that their children are interested in an artistic career is that the least financial guarantee the profession offers. Every parent wants their child to succeed in his profession and earning decent money is a part of that. However, this is far from reality in this situation and its quite natural parents hesitate to encourage their children to take up the profession. Amidst of these issues of agony; one should not forget that art offers something that other careers cannot. It reflects the cultural heritage and gives people the better ways of expression.
Another factor is the interest of the child towards art and creativity and if the student is keen on these, they should never be discouraged. Many children show their interest towards paintings, sculptures, ceramics et cetera, and this interest is very vital in the modern money rolling professions such as computer graphics, animations, architecture and even in fashion designing. Therefore, there are ample opportunities for children who nurture an artistic mind, which can make them successful in their future.
In conclusion, I believe that parents should be always there with their children offering advice and guidance about the situations, but they should never stamp on the enthusiasm of their child towards art and creativity.
