MODEL ANSWER:

Delivering a speech or presenting a matter in the public is definitely a skill of an eminent personality. However, there exists a question of when to initiate the training for this. I think this should be taught in schools at a very tender age as I believe it is vital for the present generation to be confident in public.

The cardinal reason why I think this particular skill is vital in making a person confident in public is that, it enables him to respond to a critical situation appropriately, timely and confidently. This is because the present living circumstances are exposed to diverse problems which are frequent and severe in nature. For example, a person has problems which are personal, career-related, social and financial to name but a few. If he is confident enough to face such problems, his life would be definitely successful.

Another reason is that, this makes a person increase his self-esteem. This means when a person becomes confident to speak in public, he can understand his real wavelength. For example, when a person presents his ideas in public, he is more likely to get himself criticized. A progressive personality would look up on these criticisms positively and tries to reduce his weaknesses. Eventually he becomes a person of increased self-esteem.

After analyzing the reasons why this skill is pivotal in making a person visualize his strengths and weaknesses and determining his positive confidence level in public, one can definitely answer the question whether or not it should be taught at schools.
