You should spend about 40 minutes on this task.

Over the past few decades, technological appliances have increasingly become common features in class. In this context, many people worry that this may lead to the disappearance of traditional educators? To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge and experience.  Write at least 250 words.

It is common to see many students using technological gadgets at their class today. At this juncture, some feel that traditional educators would lose their significance and would eventually disappear. I too tend to align with the view.

The cardinal reason why I feel that this would happen in future is because of the convenience that the technology offers in the field of education. To be precise, in the past, teachers had limited resources such as books and drawing pads to transfer the knowledge to their students. However, now, equipment like projectors and personal monitors in the class are seen assisting students in a great way in learning complex topics like science and math. The fast-growing technology is expected to bring about more convenience and comfort to students in the class in future.

Another reason why I would support the view is because of the effectiveness of teaching. To make it clearer, sophisticated technology like 3D animation pictures and videos can make the learning experience exceptional and memorable. Instead of listening to the lengthy lectures at the class, which occur in sequence, playing a short video on the projector and then explaining would prove much more beneficial. Students can also raise doubts instantaneously on the digital media like tablets or on personal computers and get the feedback within the stipulated response time.

Conversely, critics feel that the personal interaction between the student and the teacher can be maintained only with the traditional teaching methods. However, I feel this would not that much significant in the field of education in future.

To conclude, though there are some factors which favour the existence of traditional educators, I believe they are most likely to fade off and become extinct in the future.
