SAMPLE ANSWER:

The preference of spending leisure time with people can be mainly categorized into two: one with the same age group, and others with different age groups. These two preferences become significant in different situations, but a detailed discussion is needed before framing a logical conclusion.

One the one hand, the first group highlights the better convenience of spending their leisure time if the group is similar, especially in case of age. The communication and co-operation among this particular group would be better than that of a diverse age group, they believe. For example, a volleyball team of the same peer group can perform far better than a team which includes different age groups. Similarly, they can enjoy these moments the maximum, and these moments would be imprinted in their minds forever. The hesitancy of involving in leisure activities too can be the least if the group is of a similar age group.

On the other hand, those who prefer to get involved in leisure activities with different age groups focus on the diverse experiences they are expected to encounter in their life. To be precise, sharing of invaluable knowledge and life experiences can be very frequently seen in such groups, and this makes their life more meaningful and productive. These experiences can bridge the gap between these age groups, and such relationships would be crucial in critical life situations, such as an emergency situation. Leisure activities like playing chess or caroms are commonly seen among these age groups, and these require less physical effort.

After analyzing both these groups’ preferences, it is clear that to involve either same or different age groups in leisure time activities is situational. However, I feel it is better to go with the second option, as it has more advantages.
