Some people say technology has improved our world. Do you agree or disagree with this view?

It is believed that our world has witnessed many developments with the help of technology. There is no doubt that it has made a great impact in human’s journey to progress, but I cannot neglect its negative sides.

The best part of technology what we see today is its ability to assist humans in problem-solving. To be precise, it can be used by a common man in easing his work daily schedule, like using a motor instead of manual force. Similarly, scientists use technology to solve complex problems, which is not easily possible by human brains. In both the cases, man used to spend a considerable proportion of time and energy in the past.

The second reason why I think it has made an impressive impact on humans is that it has improved their standards of living. To be clearer, with the help of technology, many are now able to have three meals a day. Thanks to the technology used in agriculture which helped farmers to produce more. Likewise, huts with thatched roofs have now become a history, as people started living in villas and apartments with individual facilities of travel.

Nevertheless, the same technology has made people’s life miserable too. For example, a sudden war, with advanced weapons can bring catastrophe to a larger population within seconds. In a similar way, privacy issues and hacking in the cyber world can be also seen as issues which can question the credibility of technology. Yet, I believe, for a larger section of the world, it is beneficial as well as inevitable.

To conclude, despite  some issues which make people doubt that technology has given the mankind only benefits, I believe it definitely improved the lives of people mainly by solving their problems and improving their standards of living.
