Growing population is a crucial matter which has been on the tables of discussion for several years.  While some argues that it creates catastrophes, others perceive it positively for both the societies and the whole world. Analyzing the present scenario, if this growth is not arrested, it would push humanity to further crises.

The reason why some people believe that population growth is essential is because they feel that this would create a favorable platform for the overall development of global economy and individual societies.  To be clearer, when there is an increase in the number of people, the workforce would get stronger, and this in turn would take the productivity to the next level.  Likewise, there would be more skilled professionals in each society like doctors, engineers and teachers, and this would not only serve the residents of the society but also hike their social status.

Those who criticize the population explosion project the multi-facet issues it can cause, which can even threaten the existence of humans. The worst issue is the increased irrational human activities which not only causes damage to the environment, but also to the humans themselves. For example, when population swells, the need of exploiting the nature becomes more inevitable. This is not just an environmental concern. The future generation is going to see an utter scarcity of resources if the nature is exploited relentlessly.  Issues of living space, food scarcity, increased crime and morbidity are just some of the issues population hike can cause.

In my opinion, the exploding population is to be seen as a serious concern, which can make the life in the planet even worse in the recent future, and this is going to reflect in every field of human life.

To conclude, though nations and societies can gain from population growth in some way, I feel the drawbacks it is going to present the humanity would overshadow those.
