Distribution of fund from the periodic budgets of a country is always a topic of debate. While some believe it should be best spent on infrastructure like transport and housing, others feel that it is more important to spend on sectors like education and health.  I think the first option has more tangible benefits.

The prime reason why people suggest spending more money on services like education and health is because they believe only educated and healthy individuals can render more professional services to the society. For instance, the services of teachers, doctors, scientists and engineers are considered invaluable for the overall development of the country. Similarly, it is the responsibility of a government to reduce the size of morbid population, as it is directly proportional to the productivity. The same is the case of HR values because a country needs an agile and dedicated workforce to strengthen its economy.

 On the other hand, others believe that when more money is spent on infrastructure, it produces the best desired outcome. For example, the construction of wider and quality roads is very essential for the public, and so is the construction of buildings. Unlike the money spent on other isolated sectors like education, when money is spent on infrastructure, it benefits a greater proportion of population. Another point to be considered is that without a good infrastructure, educational and health facilities such as schools and hospitals would not be effective as expected.

In my opinion, the primary focus of any government should be on providing competent infrastructure to its citizens, with which they can excel in other sectors more effectively.

To conclude, though it is inevitable for any government to spend a sizeable proportion of its revenue on services like education, health and HR values, I believe infrastructural developments should be given a slightly more focus.
