The question whether experiments are to be conducted on animals remains a controversy for many years. In my opinion, for genuine reasons, this can be practised.

The prime reason for my agreement is because these experiments are for the betterment of human civilization and well-being. To be clear, when these researches are done, it would benefit a considerable proportion of human beings across the world when a negligible number of animals are been experimented. Many vaccines, including BCG and anti-rabies vaccines have prevented the extinction of humans in this world are attributed to such experiments.

The second reason why I think this is justifiable is that the animals selected for these experiments are genetically programmed for such purposes and they are not from the group of any endangered species. To be precise, these activities are done in a controlled environment, such as a laboratory, which rarely cause any sort of annoyance to the public. On top of that, most of these researches are conducted legally as per the respective governments’ norms and conditions.

I have to admit that there are some researches which are done secretly, without legal approvals, and these are usually conducted on vulnerable species. I think this should never be allowed by the respective authorities.
To conclude, though there are rare instances when humans act cruel to animals by experimenting, I think considering the overall well-being of the humans, this act is justifiable.

To conclude, though there are questions regarding the integrity of animal experiments, I tend to say they are not cruel and there is nothing wrong with it.
