Students learn far more with their teachers than other sources (the internet or television). To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Write at least 250 words.

It is argued that the amount of knowledge which is procured by the students from their teachers is far more than from other sources such as the internet. I believe it is irrational to accord to the view in this advanced world of information technology.

The first reason why I disagree to the view is because of the increased time students spend with the internet than with their teachers in classrooms. To be precise, the time a teacher spends with his student is very limited these days when compared to the past. At the same time, most students of this generation have internet access, and majority of them are seen constantly in touch with the information delivering applications on it, even inside the classrooms.

The second reason why I oppose the statement is because of the privilege of convenient learning, which these sources offer to students. To be clearer, very often some students find it difficult to learn from specific teachers, and multiple reasons are behind it. However, with the high end technological devices, learning is really an interesting experience for most students. For example, internet offers its users to search for information even during odd times from any place which is convenient for them. The professional presentation of information is another merit of the internet.

The final reason behind my opposition is the swiftness of procuring data. Technological advancements have made the search engines faster than ever before, and students can obtain the information they need within a split second on the screen. Multiple viewpoints on a specific topic are an added advantage here. It is a fact that human teachers are rarely found that much faster and accurate.

To conclude, it is clear that technology has gone miles ahead in giving information to students when compared to the traditional way of teaching, which teachers still follow.
