MODEL ANSWER>>>

The proportion of students who are proficient in a foreign language from six specific countries divided by gender is depicted in the given bar chart.

Overall, female domination is evident in all countries, except in case of Thailand.

As per the chart, most proficiency is recorded in India. When 56% male students in India know how to use a foreign language well, the rate is almost 10 more in case of females. Romanian, the country where the disparity between the male and female proficiency rates is the highest, stands at the second position, with 42 and 64% respectively.

Vietnam and Russia stand next to these countries in case of proficiency rate. When over a third of Russian males are good at a foreign language, almost two-fifth of the Vietnamese males has this skill. The proportion of their female counterparts is recorded at 42 and 56% respectively. In China, the rate of male proficiency is almost half of that of the females’ (15 and 30% respectively).

The only exception is in case of Thailand, where the males are more proficient in a foreign language than their females, and this is over 30% when compared to 27%.
