A clear cut comparison of the number of Vietnamese students who went to three different countries for their education from 2000 till 2012 is drawn in the given bar diagram.

In general, the figures are seen increasing, except in case of those to the US towards the end of the period.

As per the chart, in 2000, the volume of students who reached the UK and Australia was more than double than that of those to the US. The student migration to the first two countries kept on increasing from 10,000 in 2000 to just over 22,000 by 2012 at a fluctuating rate, which was not that much significant. From 2002 to 2006, and in 2010, this flow was slightly more to the UK, whereas in 2012, Australia had more Vietnamese students. In 2008, the figures were equal as in the case in 2000.

The trend was similar in the case of the intake of these students in the US till 2008, but at a lower proportion (from about 4000 to 12,000). However, it started slipping slightly to settle at 10,000 by 2012.
