The way in which the modes of learning English changed in three countries in 2015 when compared to that in 2010 is illustrated in the given charts.

Overall, despite a negative trend, majority of students in all the three countries preferred evening classes in both years.

In 2010, the shares of English learners who attended the evening classes in country A, country B and country C were 70%, 72% and 94% respectively. By 2015, country A and country C lost 3% and 12% from their respective total shares of English learners. The highest decline is seen in country B, with a landslide fall of 24%.

Both country A and country B sent students abroad to learn English in 2010, and this accounted for a quarter and a fifth of their total English learners. Country B maintained the same rate even in 2015, whereas there was a 2% decline in Country A’s learners rate. Country C had 3% overseas English learners in 2015.

Online English learning was the least popular in all countries in 2010, and no country had even 10% of such students. However, in just five years, the proportion of such students was double and more than double in country A and country C (5 to 10% and 6 to 15%). In country B the growth was so exceptional, and that was from 8% to 32%.
