MODEL ANSWER:

The steps involved in making recycled paper from old newspaper are portrayed in the given diagram.

The nine step process begins when the old newspapers are torn to small pieces and dropped inside a bowl. Subsequently, a cup of water, measuring exactly 250 ml is poured into the bowl and then the paper is left to soak for up to an hour.

Next, using an electric mixer, the soaked paper is beaten for about 45 seconds until it forms a pulp. The pulp is then poured into a shallow tray to which a further 100 ml of water is added and thoroughly mixed by hands.

In the next step, a piece of mesh is used carefully to lift the pulp mixture out of the tray, allowing the water to drain. Then, the pulp mixture is placed inside an old newspaper and using a rolling pin, the paper is pressed down to force out excess water if any.

Finally, the new paper, which is taken outside from the old newspaper is left to dry in a warm place for at least 24 hours.
