Various steps involved in the production of leather goods are portrayed in the given process diagram.

Overall, it is clear that the process starts from the collection of animal skin and ends with the production of finished leather goods, and is divided into two major phases.

In the first phase of production, dried animal skin is transported to the factory in bulk. Inside the factory, this skin is initially washed thoroughly in a mixture of water and lime. The washed skin is then socked in lime concentration for a specific period before it is flattened with the help of a roller. In the subsequent step, the flattened skin is socked in a mixture of water and tannin, and this is followed by the process of polishing.

The second phase starts when the polished skin reaches the leather factory via trucks. Here, the processed skin is used to make various products like shoes, bags and balls.
