An account of average annual temperature and rainfall on monthly basis in Tokyo is illustrated in the given chart.

Overall, the pattern of both temperature and rainfall is seen almost similar, except in the months of January, February, July and August.

The typically recorded rainfall is the lowest in January (under 50 mm), whereas it is lowest in February in case of average monthly temperature (10 °C). Tokyo receives an increasing share of rainfall in the first six months, and this is from about 40 mm to almost 180 mm. After experiencing a lower temperature of almost 5 °C, the temperature soars in the city from February till August, when it hits a maximum of about 27 °C.

The rainfall is seen subsided in the middle of the year (July and August: between 140 and 150 mm). However, it becomes the heaviest in the very next month to over 220 mm. September to December are the months in which both the temperature and the rainfall decline. By December, the temperature drops just under 10 °C, while the rainfall goes down to nearly 50 mm.
