The purchasing pattern of three different music albums divided by age and gender in Britain is illustrated in the given charts.

Overall, there are more male customers for all genres of music, and more customers prefer pop and rock than classical music.

Turning to the gender-based classification, male dominance is seen in all the three music types. In case of rock music, the rate of male buyers is 28, which is almost 10 more than the female purchasers. The popularity of rock and classic genres was comparatively less among males (26 and 8% respectively). The proportion of females was also less in these two types of purchase (17 and 7% respectively).

The most promising buyers of rock and pop fall in the age group, 25-34. Just over 30% of them buy these, slightly more than the rate of buyers from 16-24 age group. However, as the age increases, the preference rate is seen declining. The percentage of 45+ age group who purchase these had not crossed the mark of 10.

The situation is different in case of classical music purchase, when the oldest age group is the dominant buyers, with nearly 20%. Except the 25-34 group, no other younger age group showed a significant interest in purchasing this type of music.
