The graph represents the worth of exports from Australia to four different countries between 1990 and 2012.

Overall, it is clear that the country’s performance was not so good in case of exports, except to China.

As per the graph, in 1990, Japan stood first among the list, when it imported goods worth over $25 billion from Australia, which was almost $15 billion more than that of America’s. At the same time, India and China imported only goods worth less than $5 billion. After 2000, the value of exports from Australia to these two countries started growing.

It is to be noted that by 2004, China surpassed USA, and by 2007, it overtook Japan in case of the value of goods imported from Australia, to hit a record high of about $28billion in 2012. India’s value of imported goods started falling from 2010 to settle at $5billion. Despite some fluctuations, the worth of exported goods to Japan and the USA fell to around $16billion and $6 billion respectively in 2012.
